For those that are curious, the image is of kettle cars dumping slag from the steel making process from the Steel City aka Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers NFL football team.

Friday evenings as a child were spent at the Southland, a strip mall that is located at the adjoining property.
The slag dump provided a fireworks display that went on around the clock especially visible at night.

The location was called Brown's Dump near Homestead which eventually became the site chosen for the once third largest retail shopping mall in the world.

Century III Mall, a once crowded venue is now in it's death throes with a very uncertain future.
