Sociopath/Psychopath

Okay, people of the Internet,
Don't call people you dislike, politicians, public figures, whatever, "sociopaths"/"psychopaths". Those terms refer to actual medical conditions (yes, i realize the DSM might now be using different terms) and shouldn't just be thrown around as insults.

Granted, you are able to speculate (I'm not going to say whether you can talk about such speculations publicly, or keep it to yourself) about whether someone has a particular psychological condition, (hopefully you have extensive and deep knowledge on the actual condition) but don't just use those terms as insults to be thrown around whenever you dislike some politician or whoever.

It reminds me of a conversation I had with someone once (actually less conversing, more like me yelling at them). The individual in question thought they were being clever by using the word autistic interchangeably with retarded. Now while I understand the social standard of using certain labels inappropriately as a general insult, and am willing to tolerate it to a degree, I don't particularly agree with them.

That being said, I have met people in my life time that have truly earned such labels and ought to seek professional help.
