Since the place is working today, I posted this.

bug regatta
Created by treebranch1

Title & Idea
bug regatta is supposed to mean that the insects are the boats.
The way some of these read almost sounds like....boat models.
But it's meant to be actual insects, used as boats.

I was thinking, for a split second, of one individual who uses
generatorland and his penchant for expanding things.
Making things big.
Blowing up balloon images.

And I thought--- Insects. And Large.
Two ideas next to each other.

So, some of the appeal of this was the idea of trying out the concept of 'expansion.'

The other part was the look and sound of the name.>
bug regatta

It is in capitals on the title.
Nothing I can do about that.
The site capitalized the title.

I liked the sound of the "g" in both words.
I liked the sound of the "g" and the "t" in contrast with each other,
one sound from the back of the mouth and the other from the front.

And the look of the "b" and "g" being opposites of each other.
One up and one down.

Background: Bubble
I used this background because it is blue, and lightweight looking.

Sample of Results:
Elegant magically powered louse --- low propulsion combustion engine. The wonder of flotation for all!
Sleek wind powered cicada --- pleasure craft. Your dream come true!
Classic telepathically powered inchworm --- day sailing. The experience you as an insect lover have longed for...

I enjoyed idea of people employing insects as yachts.

Not because I want to torture or kill insects.

Because the thought of insects being large enough to use their bodies for
boats large enough to sleep 5 or 9 or 150 people, and being steam powered,
or telepathically powered etc...amused me.
