A Platonic Hug Generator would be a machine that
administers benign non-sexually oriented physical
compression.

It could be humanoid in shape, but I was thinking it'd
be rectangular because the inspiration for this was
Temple Grandin's hug machine and she got that idea
from a device for holding cattle still for procedures.

I think that's a very cool idea! I don't think a box would be good for humans. Worked for cows, but maybe a cylinder for humans?? LOVE the name. :)
