My current favourite that I hadn't listened to for ages is In Gorbachev We Trust (1989) by the Shamen. There are some great Star Trek sound effects in one song which I love as well as some other songs that deal with serious issues in an intelligent way.
 
Currently the album I listened to most in the past month or so is the new Whitechapel album (so basically their self-titled), so I guess that makes up for my current favorite album
