Why does a doomsday clock even exist?

Loss of control ? just like the World economic forum. ETC .Making decisions involving the world and influences by many Think tanks sponsored bought and paid for by the ogliarch classs . Which countries must suffer, inspite of resources or work ethic of the populations or efforts to raise themselves up. the necessity for Industrial production . Which countries do that ? How for the wealthy to keep the status quo ,etc.. but , it is just a thought ? mere speculation .
