What!? We're not supposed to procreate. That's why we're made socially inept (and some aspies are typically disgusted by sex). We're just workhorses, tools, for the neurotypicals (you know how humans are tool making/using creatures). Only humanity needs to learn how to use us properly.

Have you missed how it's always the most charismatic person who's the leader? You kind of need good social skills for that.

Might be that it's more a seperate branching from humanity, not a replacement species, and aspies should only procreate with other aspies, in order to keep the blood pure. I see Chris is doing that nicely, so good job there brother!

Okay, this is just silly. I'm just a 'weakblood' aspie anyway.

Even though many like to pretend it is, but having sex and procreating by bunches, passing on the best genes isn't really how our 'natural selection' works anymore. If that were the case, the third world countries would have superseded the rest of humanity quite a while ago.

Sex is fun, procreation is nice. But not the most important things in the world. Which is why I turned down sex before when I was 17, not because I was disgusted by it, but because it didn't make sense. And in retrospect, she was a polish camp slut, probably was ridden with STDs.

And now, 5 years later, I'm still a virgin. Go me.

I know this started as a different topic...but as this has again gone toward the title...I would like to report on the title:

I think that far too much is being made of sex...especially to children. As good as sex is...it is nothing in comparison to love. I felt a very deep and life changing love decades ago. I lost my virginity years later...my wife and I were both virgins. I think there should be a meeting of the hearts and minds BEFORE a meeting of the bodies (besides being able to take care of any child that may result)....even a bird knows that you don't lay eggs without first building a nest.

To lose one's virginity is a matter of physiology. It is done by all upper life. It really is nothing special...to have lost your heart to someone....now that is special.

To make yourself ready to mate...is nothing....dogs do it in the street on a daily basis.

To make yourself worthy of love...is everything. To strive for self mastery...self knowledge...to build yourself to the point of reliability for your partner and your children...that requires effort and great planning and attention. The reward goes beyond the momentary. The reward of sex (Immediate Gratification...often to the detriment of the long term...unless your life is set)...is fleeting...and it can negatively alter your life. The reward of love pays off all of your life...everything thereafter in life is enhanced...you know that what you thought previously as an impossible task...is possible...and so your other dreams are too...possible. Music...the sunsets...everything that is good in life is forever so much better. To search for your soul mate is a worth while effort...it is Deferred Gratification.

Strive to lose your virgin heart...but...through not trying. Have a commitment in your heart to live alone...to enjoy life without the need to depend on others for your happiness....when you meet that person that changes your mind to live alone...you will have found the right one...you will then have no doubts. Watch your favorite love story movie...real love goes beyond what can be depicted on the screen. It is by far...superior.

Too romantic?...Too fluffy?...Too unrealistic?....True love is...and more. That is the true magic of love.

Too serious for this thread?...Life is serious...too many missteps that can derail you...life is a very serious business. It is a one time shot...live it well..and you shall be rewarded from the inside...Once love enters your life...you are forever an optimist...you love life and all that it brings. Be worthy of love...be sure your partner is equally ready...live life.

Take this from a man who has experienced great love...lost it...and rediscovered it...all without losing his lust for life...the goodness of life never goes away once touched by love.
