Which Pink Panther do you like?

Which Pink Panther movie do you like best?
Just watched Strikes Again and the interrogation scene which has to be the funniest scene ever made.
The best way to see these movies was in the theater.

I was rather young when I saw at least one of them and don't remember much. I do remember the pink panther cartoon though. My Dad used to like watching that a lot.

Was there one where he opens a draw and some kind of big cat like a panther or leopard or tiger or lion or some such is inside of it? If there is, that's the one I saw.

I just recall "Revenge of the Pink Panther". The last movie I saw with my father a few months before he passed away. I had never seen him laugh so hard as he did seeing Peter Sellers disguised as the Swedish Sea Dog. Loved his inflatable parrot. :p

A shot in the dark.

First movie wasn't much about Clouseau and the character wasn't yet formed, and as both comedy and crime movie it didn't strike me as intriguing.

But the second one began to have all elements.

Rest of the movies were still funny (except third one Inspector Clouseau, which was without Peter Sellers and Blake Edwards, but I don't want to consider that as a part of series anyway), but began to suffer from sequel-syndrome (decreasing quality and uniqueness). Every sequel still had some just great gags which make them all worth of watching.

Steve Martin's take was a nice try, and I can re-watch them just fine, but I would call them only average comedies.
