I would rather get my face punched in than watch Twilight.
You must have missed seeing "True Blood". Whoa...it's sure ain't "Twilight" or "The Vampire Diaries".

It wasn't for me.Typical Sydney, it rips everyone off. More than twice the price for less than half the value and genuine corruption thrown in for good measure. The fine really is only $20, so I don't know who's extortion fees you were also paying.

The Fine for Not Voting and the Penalty for Not Enrolling to Vote in Australia - LY LawyersThe Fine for Not Voting in NSW
Section 259 of the Electoral Act 2017 states that if you do not vote in a local or state election in NSW, you will receive an apparent failure to vote notice.
This notice can be responded to in the same ways as its federal equivalent. If you did vote, you can provide the details of your vote at the NSW Electoral Commission website. Alternatively, you can attempt to provide a valid and sufficient reason for failing to vote.
You can also choose to immediately pay the fine, which is $55 in NSW. If you do not reply to the notice within 28 days, the matter will be referred to Revenue NSW and an additional fee of $65 will apply.
Finally, you can apply to have the matter heard in court. A court may impose a fine of $110 for the offence of failing to vote, plus court costs.
I've only ever seen a $20 fine, Vic, SA and NT. Victoria was funny, I was on a blinder with mates and simply forgot that there was an election. I got a fine in the mail, but they also phoned me to chase up the fine before it was even due. I told them I didn't understand it because I did vote. They appoligised for the error and scrapped my fine.It wasn't for me.
This was for a state election.

When I was living in the bush a local got a speeding fine, but he only ever went to the city once a month and the dates on the fine were wrong. He showed the fine to me and I instantly declared it a fake, because of the value of the fine - $628.37. No fines have stupid numbers like that here, they're always rounded numbers, $630 would be believable but not that other stupid number. It was probably some idiot foreigner that has thought of a number and then converted it to Au currency.@ Outdated
I didn't have to pay that time, but it makes me wonder if this has been done to me before.
I strongly suspect it was done to my sister, also.
The only time I got stuck watching a game, it was boring and I got chilled to the bone.Watching football at a stadium! It's hot, noisy and smelly

Just the cold. It was a low-budget high school game that my ride home diverted to.Was it terrible sensory wise?
