Was good to an employee of mine this morning and he is glad I did it. He is one of my employees at my auto salvage yard that has autism. Was his birthday and talked to his mom on Monday. Found out dad does not give any effort on anything and treated him like crap. He is one of my outside dismantlers taking parts off of vehicles out back that never complains and is a hard worker. Dad gave him no good cheap tools that broke on him. Seen him come in telling him happy birthday now 25 and told him we are making a trip to Harbor Freight buying him better tools. He was excited and his mom was with us. We went to pick out tool storage first, picked out an US General a 34 x 23 6 drawer service cart picking the red one. Got him some ratchets and extensions, Chrome and impact sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers and even hex and torx bits. A couple hammers and prybars too. Mom pitched in as well. When we got back, I surprised him more and he was happy to see what he also got. I talked to my Cornwell tool dealer whom also has a son with autism. Said he would donate a few Milwaukee tools. Donated him a 1/2 and a 3/8 M18 cordless impact also a 1/4 and 3/8 cordless ratchet. Said he has a M12 bit driver and bits including a M18 cordless recipicating saw for him coming in on order. He was so happy seeing I am one caring boss.
