Should an Asperger male continue a marriage with an NT nagging wife?? who is not ready to accept his challenges, instead, wants him to change.

well.....my dad is a classic aspie, informally diagnosed by my old autism specialists and my mother is an NT with mental health issues, she nags him like mad, theyve been married for many, many years, theyre irish and it was built into irish culture not to ever divorce.
it works for my parents as my dad looks after my mum she is an depressive alcoholic and she would probably be homeless now if it wasnt for him.

but i personally think, you should be happy,if your not happy with your wife nagging you and no amount of talk to change it works and couples counciling doesnt work, then your best off without her as you dont want it affecting your mental health.
i think the same thing if its a female aspie with a nagging NT husband,or a female or male aspie being nagged by a partner of the same gender.

I am a Dad (NT), my son is an AS ( officially diagnosed). He is 34 years old, was doing well with life. A Business Graduate and a double Masters. Since he married, life has changed for him. I never saw him so depressed and frustrated before. This marriage has taken him down. His wife keeps nagging and trying to change him. She wants to make him NT, I guess??
