Thunderbirds - Any Fans Of The Show?

Any fans of Thunderbirds out there? I'm sure there are some!

I was, back in the 1960s.

My brother and me tried to walk around the house like we were marionettes.

As a child in the early 60s I certainly recall marionette features like "Supercar" and Fireball 500".

Guilty as charged. Us too... raising our arms up and down with the widest eyes possible.

Though marionettes seem to come back en vogue when "The Godfather" came out. But that involved some very different strings being pulled by some very nefarious people.

I was a huge fan as a kid. I still have all the toys and comics with the cutaway drawings. I had a Thunderbird 2 alarm clock and I think I even had a Thunderbird 4 bar of soap. There is an island off the coast here called Bass Rock, I used to call it Tracy Island.

Also, I remember back in 2015 there was a publicly stunt with a model of Thunderbird 4 sailing up the Thames to promote the new series.

Though in the spirit of Gerry & Sylvia Anderson, I was always hoping to see at least one episode of "Space: 1999" with pious actors like Martin Landau and Barbara Bain with their eyes and mouths wide open and arms bouncing up and down.

Oh well, not all producers have such a sense of humor. Reminds me of Landau's initial audition when he seriously asked the producers if there were any strings attached.

Kudos to the dour Barry Morse, who so effectively did an English accent in Space: 1999. Until I discovered that he was British. LOL..."Lieutenant Gerard, say it ain't so!"

Apparently I had some sort of Thunderbirds figurine board game when I was a kid, but I don't really remember it (this is according to my parents). I must have been very young.
