So, I recently got The Sims 4, and I have a question/problem. Being that: How do I install a CD version of the expansion pack Get To Work when the other games are merely downloaded?
 
I pretty much gave up on PC gaming several years ago, due to problems running almost anything under Windows XP.

But to answer your query, you'll have to tell the downloaded versions where your extra content is on the hard drive so it can find it and access it, by default it should be in C:zProgram Files\The Sims 4.
 
Aye, as Allen says, you just tell it where to install.

The main thing though is that as long as you allowed the main game to install into whatever default directory it wanted, the CD one *should* default to the same spot. Theoretically. Granted EA's installers can be a little odd at times but for the most part, it should be nice and easy.

If it doesnt default to it, and you arent quite sure where the game's main directory is, go into Origin (er, if you're running Origin) and you can check it from in there.
 
Different question(s), now:
  • Will deleting any saves mean the family I created will be deleted, as well?
  • How do you get the cheats to work? How DO they work?
 
For the first question: Uhhh... I actually forget. I play Sims 4 (and the others) but I'm the sort of PC user that tends to just let files clump up, never deleting anything. Like hoarding in real life, except it's digital and even more ridiculous!

If you want to see what happens, just try backing up the whole mess of saves/whatever into another part of your PC. Then you can go into the game and see what it does if you delete one from there, and if it does something undesirable... you can just take the backed-up files and copy them back into place.

I actually tried searching on Google for the answer to this question, but Google is being a snot.
