The old emojis...

So, with the new update we lost the old emojis. IMO they are better designed from an artistic perspective. They had character, much different from the ones we see every day on basically every other platform. Sad how even designs are being monopolized.

Anyways, I found that I when took screenshots before, I accidentally captured some emojis. I'm attaching them down below. Please share if you also have some. My favorites were the green grin and the blue screaming face. Sigh.


These aren't true emojis, so each time we want to use one, it would be the same as embedding a picture file. I guess this is a way we could still use them for die-hard fans of that design (though with a huge hassle).

I liked those two as well. They really need to add a “laughing” one, I regularly find myself wanting to show that I’m being humerous but not entirely joking like a wink or tongue sticking out suggests to me.

I don't think the old ones are there, I can't see them. The green one that said eek has been replaced with this one: It's ok but not as good as the other one. Why does it have a blue head and completely white eyes? That seems odd. But anyway, it's not terribly important, I just liked the old ones.

Are you doing this on PC or mobile? Can you try the “attach files” function?

I tried on my desktop. Normally, I save them to a folder here for use as a photo host.
That stopped working after the update.

Those images are PNG files.
They are not copying the same as GIF files.

Yeah, I see how it works now, it is hidden from view.
You have to click the three vertical dots to get the box to open up the emoji option

But it only offers a subset of standard emoji, not the previous Xenforo set.

I didn't get emojis from doing that.
There's two sets of 3 dots, and neither one of those gave me any faces.

To get the Smilies I clicked on the Smile face.
