I wish I could follow Temple Grandin's advice about having a portfolio. I spoke to a careers adviser last week who told me there's no way someone working where I've done could put one together - (a) because of project confidentiality and (b) because I haven't worked in creative sectors.

I don't really like that article. She's pretty much saying that we're all technological geniuses and would all be amazing computer programmers. Lots of generalizations that don't apply to many of us.
