Sure On This Shining Night

Here is another calming music video that can help Aspies soothe upset hearts. This is my biological son, Jack, singing, "Sure On This Shining Night." I also include the lyrics as well as the link. He audio recorded this performance to be used at my older sister's (his paternal aunt's) funeral-memorial. The pianist is John Deaver, D.M.A.

Jack holds both the B.Mus. and M.Mus. degrees in church music with a concentration in vocal performance. In addition, however, he also composes, arranges, directs, and plays pipe organ and piano. He's a "geek" in knowing and following music in its various genres. He is also a "nerd" due to his "hobbies" and on-going love in vocal performance and singing in an Episcopal church choir where he is a tenor section leader. He has a poster that reads, "Music speaks when words can't."

Here's the lyrics:
Sure on this shining night
Of starmade shadows round,
Kindness must watch for me
This side the ground.

The late year lies down the north.
All is healed, all is health.
High summer holds the earth.
Hearts all whole.

Sure on this shining night
I weep for wonder
Wandering far alone
Of shadows on the stars.
