Star Citizen is an online game that is currently in Alpha testing, and looks to be the heir to the Wing Commander series, crossed with "EVE".

Has anyone else here on AC been following the game/concept? I couldn't believe what I was reading when I first heard about it, I had long since given up hope on a MMO concept (partially) based off of the Wing Commander/Privateer II frameworks.
