None of the firms I emailed even got back to me. Would I be better off calling them instead?

Of course, they'd be wanting paid, and I have no idea what all of that could amount to either.

What kind of solicitor would I have to contact? Like, say some guy online keeps bothering you by posting about you and all that, what kind of lawyer would you require to get a non harassment order?

Consult with an attorney who practices civil law (non-criminal law) for matters that are non-criminal in nature.

If you are a defendant or target in a criminal matter, consult with an attorney who handles criminal law matters.

From your limited description of the issues that are concerning you, it doesn't sound like you need an attorney, but that's just my opinion.
