So I guess I've just switched over to doing winter photography.

Nice photo, interestingly enough I rarely drive this particular stretch of highway, when going past this same lake I usually take the 1A highway westbound through Exshaw instead, a nicer drive to me...
We had gone out to photograph the old Petro Can station just west of the Stoney Nakoda Casino and I got this on the way back.

Great composition. Something that sadly eludes me quite often as I put my eye to the viewfinder.

You can teach so much of the mechanics of photography. But it remains my experience that composition is just something that nebulously varies from one person to another...much like a flare for individual artistic style.

I still chuckle recalling a past relationship with an Austrian woman I met in photography class. That what most attracted me to her was her sense of composition, which seemed to come easy to her. She also had the best of photography equipment. Clearly she was more serious about her hobby than me...lol.

I couldn't see compositions and then I could. It was like a switch flipped.

My wife has threatened to shoot me and hide my body in an abandoned well the next time I buy a camera.

That was about seven new cameras ago. :D

Winter comes to New England of the United States in whispers. Soon, she will be roaring.
