Seriously funny; the story game.

The idea of this thread is to continue a story....but, there's a twist! The first poster will post a serious story, but the next will be challenged with the task of making it into a humorous/surreal/ satirical one, and then another person will have to make the story serious again and so on and so forth.

For example;

Poster #1: Jeremy had always been a strange individual, and he struggled to fit in with his classmates. One day he was walking alone down a peculiar street he had never been down before, when suddenly there was a loud screeching noise. He looked up to see a horrifying sight, a man in a cloaked gown reached out to him and-

Someone else: offered him some tea. To Jeremy's surprise, the man started to do the Macarena.

:D

Rules of this game:

- You are allowed to introduce new characters, but please try to continue the story from where the other poster left off.

- Feel free to compliment someone's writing, or ask questions about posts (especially if you want anymore clarification on the original post), but please don't attempt to derail this thread into something that isn't relevant.

- At the start of your post, please state at the top whether it is serious or humorous. Either "Post type: Serious" or "Post type: Humorous".

-Keep it PG.

- Either a short sentence or a few paragraphs per each individual post is preferred. Just please don't write a novel length post.

Alright, are you ready? Here's one to get it started.

Only the sound of rain falling onto the ground of the forest and wind rustling between the trees could be heard. Desperately lost, she took a frantic turn on the leaf laden path only to find...

Well, what comes next? You decide. ;)

(Humorous)

"she took a frantic turn on the leaf laden path only to find" -- the distant light resonating from a city, and a large balloon shaped like a cat emoji; as she began to walk towards it, she heard-

If people don't post "Serious" or "Humorous" how
is the next person supposed to know what to do?

Well, if the poster above doesn't post whether it is serious or humorous, then I suppose the next person would just have to go off whatever tone/feel they got from the last story post in the thread. However, I would prefer it if people did specify whether their post is humorous or serious. Thank you. :)
