Sensitive Topic San Bernardino Shooting

I heard about the shootings this morning, but was unphased although I live 45 minutes from San Bernardino. Then I found out it was a regional center that was shot up. I hope it wasn't aspies or anyone else on the spectrum.

Very sad, I grew up in the area. I had to make a few phone calls to make sure some of my people down there were ok.....

Even if it had been aspies, it wouldn't make sense to blame it on Asperger's.
Then again, people rarely use logic in their actions.
But that's their problem, it's not something you should have to worry about.

Yet another senseless, sudden, violent attack. This just makes me sick. It would help a lot if the gun laws were stricter and enforced. That probably would not stop this type of violence, but it would help. Congress needs to stop paying attention to the NRA's constant lobbying and pass laws that make back round checks stricter. If you do not have anything to hide, stricter back round checks will not effect you. The NRA types need to understand that the feds are not going to" come and git yer guns" and that gun laws are to keep guns out of the wrong hands. Your 2ed amendment rights are not going anywhere.

Once the proper laws are in place, The DEA should increase pressure on black market guns. Illegal gun and drug laws need to be strict and vigorously enforced. Illegal guns and drugs promote violent crime.

Unfortunately strict gun laws wouldn't have helped in this case. The shooter was described as a nice person who had never caused any problems. He wasn't on any terrorists watch list. Just a good Muslim who somehow got radicalized. He had been planning this for awhile and had quite a stockpile of weapons.

Sadly this won't be the last time this happens.

You are right on two counts. Stricter laws would not have made any difference in this case and it will happen again. That does not mean that we should not have stricter gun laws. Stricter laws will not stop gun violence, but they will help. The longer that they are in place, the more that they will help. All that we can do is have laws that will help, because the only way that the government can stop it is to have compleat control and nobody wants that. The reality is, that these type of things are part of the price we pay for freedom.
