Hi,
This is my first posting so I apologize if this has been answered.
I'm the dad of an 13 year old girl with Asperger. Looking back, I'm pretty sure I was on the spectrum too when I was growing up and probably still am but I deal with it much better now.
My daughter gets aggressive from time to time (push and scratch) with her mom and caregivers. I'm the only one who is strong enough that she doesn't try to hurt amongst the family and caregivers. This is a big challenge because that means I have to be close by all the time. This can get very exhausting as you can imagine.
Is there a place that I could leave her for 3-5 hours so her mom and I can relax? Looking back, I think my parents used to lock me in my room and had caregivers watch me. I obviously won't be doing that. Thanks much!
