Routine changes

If I cant find this pen then now I have a problem, because that means I will have to use a sub optimal pen for my list

I have the pen, and a back up pen next to it, and a bunch of the same pens on my desk... and on my desk I have them separated as the ones I use for work and the ones I use for me

No way... I do *exactly* the same! I spent years finding the perfect pen (Uniball Signo 0.38 here), and I have at least ten on hand at any one time, separated for task and location, and monitor ink levels closely, and switch them out when needed and restock.

My family think I'm obsessed, and they may be right. I can talk for hours about this, and the perfect paper pairing.

he says as he looks at his 35-pen collection neatly arranged by manufacturer and ink type

Oh dear Zeus, I'm really awful!😂

Thanks @717 glad you're here.

Good point, family life is always evolving as in a healthy way. Your children are constantly maturing and leveling up their interests. My daughter started on piano, leveled up to violin, and finished with electric guitar. Sports was another ongoing path.
