Rather than be reliant on Wikipedia*, would it not be better (and more direct) to have a page on this site that describes the spectrum to those who are ignorant of it? The majority of us, I assume, have been officially diagnosed to be one of the spectrum, and thus would be better suited for a description of it. This is the case only if the member is sufficiently self conscious of it.
My full suggestion is as follows: As soon as an unregistered member, or the first three times a member with uncertain spectrum status (as indicated by the registration form) are to be shown a page that directs them to a forum detailing the spectrum, from approved members. This specific forum could have a special non-user posting status; people need only confirm their e-mail address, and, should their post be approved, any queries they have would be responded to by other approved members, with an e-mail being sent to them of the same reply. It should be kept fairly active and be easily accessible.
As an unrelated suggestion, I ask you to look at the registration form again; the spectrum status should be expanded to include NT persons simply interested in the subject.

I am a frequent user of this site myself, but having a 'in house' forum would be better for many people. Somewhat trivially, it also saves some time (considering the time it takes to load up a new page in the website, read it, and return to this website).
