Questions about the Missouri Synod Lutheran faith

My understanding is that the Lutheran Missouri Synod has a lot of similarities with Roman Catholicism. I was having a religious discussion with a family member recently and they wondered out loud if Missouri Synod Lutherans held the saints in high regard like Catholics do and also if they consider the Virgin Mary in high esteem as well.

Does anyone know the answer to the above?

I’ve heard that most Lutherans now days greatly resemble the Eastern Orthodox in many ways. In regards to Our Lady and the Saints, the Lutherans believe that Our Lady was a perpetual Virgin and the Mother of God, but reject Her Immaculate Conception and Assumption into Heaven and also, I’m pretty sure, don’t believe in the intercession of the Saints. (The Eastern Orthodox by the way do believe in the Assumption of Mary, they just don’t consider it a dogma, mainly because their Bishops haven’t yet formed an Ecumenical Council that, they believe, would have the Authority to make it a dogma.)

My best friend is from Poland and his family is Eastern Orthodox. I didn't really understand very much about it. Thank you for explaining this!
