‘Price is Right’ Contestants Think Apple’s iPhone 6 Costs $7,500

A moron thinks an iPhone and phone package cost $7500 on the game show Price is Right. Watch the video for details.

Haha, it might as well be 7500. Even at 1000 it's way more than I can pay for a phone.

That's a bit harsh. Not everyone retains all their faculties when on television and under a peculiar kind of stress and excitement. I can think of a few folks who might not even recall their own name when the red light appears on that camera! ;)

I had a cousin who was on that show in 1977. She won a nice piece of furniture. RIP, Cuz.

But still, the first cell phone decades ago cost $4000. Maybe the person does not understand what year it is now?

Yes! What year it is, or even their own name.

However you're missing a basic point. Some people can't handle the excitement and stress of being on television, let alone make sensible decisions at the same time. I mean, what are the odds of two unrelated people side-by-side making the same absurd mistake? Think about it.

I've seen people go completely blank when they knew they were on tv. It happens.

Not everyone can handle the stress of being on T.V.(I know I couldn't handle it, I'd be absolutely terrified), and he probably wasn't thinking right at the time, maybe just said the first thing that came to his mind.
Besides, not everyone really knows or cares about iPhones or what they cost.

I guess I need to consider knowledge each person haves. For example, if they had an expensive purse that I didn't know was expensive, I think I would under bid.

If I was on The Price is Right, I'd probably be so nervous I'd end up saying something like a can of beans is worth a million dollars.

I see many people gave me a different protective. I found this video on a cell phone forum so they had the same prospective as me. You guys got me to learn something today from your responses.
