Photographs of where I used to walk

Here are some photographs of where I used to walk. I use photographs to help
me start stories. I don't often paint from photographs, I paint from memory
but with my imagination adding the new moods and forms. Since I moved home I have
not yet found the right places to walk but I have plenty of photographs from
times before.

Below is a painting, but of different woods. The woods above are Judy Woods,
an ancient woodland near my old home. Below is an image of a painting that
remembered a walk I had in a different wood.

I wanted to talk about walks because walking amongst Nature helps me
ease my stress. I don't walk as much now but my friend and I have joined in
a photo study of a local park. I think those photographs will be of details,
tiny things that carry a lot of atmosphere. There is a old glasshouse in the park
that is now a cafe and that is where some of the photographs will be
shown. I don't know how long it will take us to have photographs to show,
it might take three seasons.

Photography is one of my fascinations in my autism condition, but quite often I
am interested in the many types of cameras and lenses. It is good that I will
be taking photographs again. I can sometimes forget what cameras are for.

Perhaps other people find a lot of comfort through walking.

Beautiful photos! That forest is so enchanting! And you're a very talented painter as well.

I also love going for walks, and taking photos.

Thank you for sharing your talent and story with us :)

Ditto that.
Nature walks, photography and painting have always been great de-stressors for me too.'
I now have a disability that prevents me from walking, so I appreciate beautiful photos and art such as yours.
Thanks for sharing and continue. :)
