Phantom text in an unwanted post

I noticed that happening too Sportster . It goes away if I wait (before moving on to a new page) a few seconds after deleting it. There is, when one is typing, in the lower right corner a small gray message that says "draft saved." I figure the software is saving every few seconds (?) and so I make sure it is gone before leaving. Hope that makes sense. I'm not that great at explaining stuff. :p

I am writing something. That is what I am doing.
I don't see any words yet. Sometimes I have
seen ...yup. Right there (just now) it said "Draft Saved."

I left this stuff here, went to the main Site Questions
area. When I came back, the words were faded gray.

They won't be here if I delete them though.
That is what I think. (hypothesis. It's a maybe. IDK)
I will delete them and go away and see what happens.
[First I will copy them. For this experiment...hmmm there
is the little "Draft Saved" thingy again.] OK. Here I go.

YUP.
The words were here when I came back.
The words I deleted without posting were here, in
faded gray.

So what was the point of me doing this?
Just an experiment.
To see if I could replicate Sportster 's experience.

I had not been aware that deleted words I had not even posted
also were retained on the page. I did know that sometimes I
have forgotten to post/thought I had posted, but got distracted &
didn't....and later, even the next day, there the unposted words
would be, gray.

Thus endeth tree 's verification of...that thing you guys
were talking about. :)
:evergreen:
