Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu Plus.

I currently have a trial period with Amazon Prime and at the moment plan to continue with it. There are a lot of films but most of them seem to be the same cheap options other streaming services offer. The television section is great and their original shows are pretty good. I look forward to seeing more of them.

I think Netflix is one of the only ones available here. Heck, Amazon doesn't even ship to my country, so I doubt any streaming service would be any different.

I do have Netflix though. Even if I actually am at a point where I cannot find anything worth watching.. my queue is pretty much empty and I've seen everything I want to see for now.

I though that Amazon shipped everywhere :/

I usually have to wait a couple of weeks to a few months before anything good shows up on Netflix. I did enjoy it having MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000) but wish it had a lot more English dubbed anime ...

It's even a hassle to sign up for me and register with a dutch address. There's a reason why places like Germany have their own Amazon.de website. You order from there, and probably get international orders through their German distribution channel. However The Netherlands does not have a national Amazon website. We have a few alternatives that are national here and well known though.

I don't know why exactly this is. It's not like we have some kind of trade embargo going on with the rest of the world. If you can order it within the EU, most likely you can get it shipped to here. It's just that Amazon decides that you cannot order if you cannot make a local account on their site or something.

My issue with Netflix is what they offer is probably nowhere as extensive as what's available in the US. Some shows are still a bit behind, or aren't even on Netflix at all. They'll show up at some point. The exception might be those Netflix exclusive shows though.

Add in that I can be somewhat driven to marathon a tv show or bunch of movies and I burn through my queue really fast. Last time I sat down for a show was Season 1 and about a week later, season 2 of Orange is the new black. I go through those within a day.

Remind me not to move where you are cause I would absolutely shrivel up and die from not having my Amazon fix!

lol, I haven't come across something that I need and that I would need Amazon for. Plenty of other ways to find stuff :D

I have Netflix because it's cheap in Canada.

It's cheap because the selection is terrible. I want to rejoin Zip (a Canadian DVD-by-mail service), but not right now because I'm in no mood to watch movies in the summer. :weary:

I've had Netflix for about a year and a half now, and I like it a lot. I recently started watching H2O: Just Add Water on it and I've fallen in love. It's become kind of a sub-obsession, I guess. :)
I've used free trials of Amazon Prime (apparently when you move or get a new debit card - maybe both - you can do another free trial ;) ) to get free shipping on a few orders, but never stuck with it.
And I have a free Hulu account for watching anime. Their selection is much better than Netflix's.

any idea when the new OITNB series is out?
cant wait, that is one series that is crying out for a prime time tv slot.

I'm assuming you mean Season 3, right? They did renew for a third season, so at it's coming. If the previous dates are any indication I think season 3 will not be out until summer 2015. But given it's success they might release it earlier. But there's no confirmation about any date yet though.
