National Autism Conference State College, PA

Hi All!

I just wanted to share that I just got back from the National Autism Conference at State College, PA and it was an amazing experience. I learned so much from the leaders in the field, networked with many professionals, and met a ton of parents, their children, and many adults on the spectrum. If any of you ever have the opportunity to go to a conference like this, I totally recommend it. It benefits everyone and it is amazing to see how everyone on the spectrum, no matter how socially different they were, were completely accepted and understood. Being an NT it felt so good to see that everyone could be themselves. That's what awareness is all about. When everyone understands, everyone functions in harmony. I loved the experience. If you guys have any questions or want to check out some of the conference footage...here is a link to the webcasts:

That was the feeling I got at the conference. Truly accepting people. Autism was normal there, and that feeling was amazing. If any of you get a chance to go to a conference like that, do it. You will not only learn more about autism, but about yourself and so many other unique people.
