My spring cleaning project.

I plan on doing this over the next week. A deep cleaning of my house that will impress every neat freak on the face of the planet.

Who knows, it might lift my mood.

Best wishes! It can be hard work, but it's always nice to see the results. Remember to take breaks and pace yourself as needed - last thing you want to do is push too much and burn out.

Take a moment every now and then, to look at your progress. Admire your work as you go! Remind yourself that you made it happen! :-)

I have been going after every useless piece of paper [like old bills, reminders, school calendars, etc.]
or cardboard [like boxes for items that I threw out years ago]
that I can find to reclaim some space. ;)
The IRS only requires five years of records and so many are paperless now.

Cleaning is hard if it's too hot for me. Good luck, l am sure you got this. Zen will return, and free your thoughts up.

I'm doing the same thing. Every spring it's the same shock, during winter the sun is low and it's dark. Then spring comes and the sun is higher and it suddenly lights up every corner and every little dust bunny. You see everything more clearly. :fearscream: And then you start cleaning.

I just finished scrubbing down my kitchen. My kitchen is now spotless. I even moved the oven and cleaned the area underneath it.

I find cleaning oddly cathartic, especially when I'm upset or freaking out. It is a constructive outlet for overwhelming emotions and helps bring order back to one's space. There is just something utterly comforting about a fresh, tidy home.

You are a shining example to us @Metalhead :-) I need to follow your example and get some serious cleaning and tidying done! I guess while my mood is at an unusually high level compared to what's been the norm recently, I should strike while the iron is hot. :-)
