My plan of action against pervasive discontent.

I will budget with my payee to have $50 in cash every weekend, to go to breakfast, to see a live local band, to go to museums, to do anything but isolate in my house all weekend long.

I can afford this. I just need to spend a lot less money on digital movies.

My biggest source of discontent and what keeps the wheels of resentment going in my brain, more than anything else, is isolation.

For me isolation is simply a way of life. When it's most just a matter of being able to find ways to remain busy, whether it involves something I want to do, or something that must be done.

Though I too can get "stir crazy" if I remain indoors too long. But then walking remains my main choice of exercise. Usually doing it at large stores with large parking lots.

That's pretty much me too, except I live 100 metres from a train station and it's easy for me to go for walks through the parklands in the city. Adelaide is surrounded by parkland, and now I'm over 60 public transport is free.

I have to say, I'm very impressed. You figure out the problem, then figure out the solution.
That's how success always works.

Adelaide is my favorite Australian city (second, I think, is Townesville). The rest of the big cities seem like clones (Melbourne=New York, Sidney=Los Angeles, Perth=San Francisco, Brisbane=Miami), but Adelaide seemed unique in layout and attitude. You know all this but most of the people reading this won't. Seemingly half the land within the city boundaries is parkland, recreation, sports fields, or just open space. It is refreshing, and keeps the air remarkably clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Would the train station you mentioned be the Glenelg Tram, or do they have more now?

Adelaide is one of the very few planned cities in the world. The original settlement was at Glenelg and Adelaide was surveyed and mapped out before anyone ever lived there.

The Glenelg Tram still runs, plus there's a few more trams in the city centre itself, but we have an extensive train network as well. I live about 3 Km inland from Glenelg.
