My 1980s-themed party, and some ideas?

OK, this is just a hypothetical Q at this time, since I will not be holding one for a while (but I want to have one of these in the future, when possible, however). With that said....

So, I want to have a 1980s themed party. Some ideas I have so far are:
-I think I'd have people wear the sports jerseys caps worn in that era.
-Play 1980s music (obvious)
-Have people wear costumes from films of the decade (like the Back to the Future films; namely Marty's denim jacket and "life preserver").

Anybody have other great ideas? Because I want to see this come to fruition someday, hopefully this year. :D Cheers.
