Actually... taking offense at anything is like deliberately stepping on dog poo. Either it was intended to offend you, and you've just made their day, or it wasn't intended to offend, and you caused yourself heartburn for no reason.

Getting offended by something you saw on the internet is like going to the dog park and looking for dog poo to step in.
