Missing images

I notice today there are many images not appearing on this site. For example view this thread https://www.aspiescentral.com/threads/how-do-you-feel-in-images.9962/

I logged a question in the wrong place...I noticed missing images in that thread but other images show up. Is there a "best way" to attach images?
Clicking on the undisplayed images in the thread results in a 404 ERROR message for me; replying to the post without sending the reply displays the image. I'm using Windows 7 Pro and a fairly old machine, though.

Those images don't exist anymore. They are hosted off this site so we have no control over them.

Yes some of those images are off another server. However, if you view the HTML for post https://www.aspiescentral.com/threads/how-do-you-feel-in-images.9962/ , you will see 13 img tags with a relative path starting with <img src="proxy/

Those are still on another server. The proxy simply tries to cache the image on our server. If the image is broken then the proxy server can't do anything about that.
