Hello,

My name is Calvert and I am one of two admins tasked with running Aspies Central. It will be my job to make sure this place runs smoothly and grows big.

I am officially diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, getting my diagnoses a few years ago - much to my surprise. Before my diagnosis I had never heard of Aspergers or Autism. Some of my interests include: computers, website development, forums, gaming, swimming, photography, being outside, listening to music (almost any type) and much more.

People usually see me as being a genuinely nice guy, but I must warn you not to get on my bad side. :D

I'm currently located within Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.

Update: Thread closed to regular members to keep it free from clutter.

Hey all,

I'm superboyian from many various places and it is my task to help create this site and keep it running.
Together, me and Calvert came up with the ideas how we started building the site from the pictures, the themes, the logo's etc.

I have been diagnosed with mild autism at 7 years of age and been educated at special ed for a long while before I eventually got intelligent and started moving on to college.
I'm into alot of forums, gaming (when I feel the urge to *which seems to be quite alot*), music, partying and of course COMPUTERS! :p

You'd find that I'm actually one of the friendly guys around so hopefully, but I DO have an eagle eye so I may catch alot of things in a flash. :p

And I'm from London. :D

Nice to "meet" you =) How do you get diagnosed? What kind of a process is it? I'm totally new to this...

Usually you would see a psychologist or someone who specialises in Autism. Depending on what country you live in, this could either be very expensive or free. Check this thread for some info on what it's like.

Calvert and Ian are chill.

Thanks.

I think we need to get ??? and PanPaniscus to make a short introduction in this thread since they are also staff members. :)

Thanks Google. :D

We are indeed very much chilled out guys, I'm probably the most laid back person you can come across and I love to have abit of a laugh too which is a bonus and you don't often see a admin/moderator act this way. ;)

I have not seen a psychologist since my special needs period of my life, and i've managed to get through my life on my own. Though i am a kind of a high functioning asperger sufferer i managed to get used to it pretty well.

I guess I should post something here since I just became a mod.

I am 31 years old and only got an official AS diagnosis in September last year (I had been in sort of the "self-diagnosed/unsure" category for a while). I lead a fairly uninteresting life, but I'm trying to change that.

Well welcome aboard to the team IContainMultitudes, there are guides hidden in a hidden part of the forums.
Congrats on getting your official diagnosis.

I am known as Gomendosi and I am one of the newest moderators and as such I remind people of the rules and can assist with any issues you may have.

I also appear occasionally to amuse and beguile.
I am the antipodean moderator as I live in Australia so G'Day to everybody downunder!

I was caught unawares when I was officially diagnosed with Aspergers in my thirties, but I am glad I was as it all seems clearer now.
I enjoy peanut butter, reading, long showers and watching DVD's & old TV shows, Not necessarily in that order and almost certainly never all at once ; ]
I try to be fair, impartial and approachable but have a keen eye as well... so behave LOL

Oh yeah, welcome to aspiescentral.com
