"Make-Up-Your-Own-Holiday" Day

It's "Make-Up-Your-Own-Holiday" Day today. What holiday(s) would you make up? Me, April 13th, Me Day!, September 19th, Press Your Luck Day, March 7th, Digi-Moon Day...... the list goes on, but those are my big three.

Living in SE Asia, I found there are many different 'New Year' celebrations. Each ethnic group has their own dates. I think if we recognised them all rather than just the Gregorian New Year and the occasional Chinese New Year, we'd have a pretty happy year of New Year celebrations.

Christmas needs at least four more days as follows:
23 Dec Shopping Holiday
24 Dec Travel to Parents Holiday
26 Dec Shopping Specials Holiday
27 Dec Travel Home Holiday

How about if you need a day off, and it's Thursday, have a Chill-out-Thursday-Day. ? Then if you need Friday off too, well Chill-out-Thursday-Day didn't seem as big a hit as you'd hoped. Let's change it to Chill-out-Friday-Day.
Basically whichever day you want off, claim it as holiday and then make up a name for it to make it sound a bit more official. You never know, the governments might like the idea. Or maybe they do this alrrady?
