Had 3rd interview, left premises. Spent the entire time wondering if l made too much eye contact? Really bother me, l looked away, but l felt unsure about staring or not staring. Funny.

Does anybody have the ideal eyeball/interview ratio down? Your thoughts? Is there too much? l tried projecting interest by moving closer when he moved closer? Getting jobs are a ratio of odds!

I don't know the ratio myself, but I definitely know the struggles.

I really hope that you get the job! (and that it's a good job)

Wow, you got to the third interview? That's really great! Even if you don't get the job, it's really good to get to a third interview.

Thinking back, l was fine with the first two woman l interviewed with. The final interview was a guy and l felt slightly uncomfortable the entire time. The room was small, and the door was closed, l felt like l was suffocating in there. I didn't like him directly across me, for some reason it felt threatening even though l know it's not. He seemed alright, but l also wanted to run out or ask for a bigger room. Little traumatized by stuff in my life. Plus he shook hands with me 3 times? First meeting him, stand up at end of interview, handshake, then handshake in lobby as l am saying goodbye. Maybe *guy thing*? You can't say "look -who's counting but we already shook hands twice which is twice to many for spectrum pods." Lol

Sounds like you did perfectly, if he shook your hand three times:)

Find I look at the person when they shake hands, directly in the eyes.
Then I look away slightly.
When they speak to me, I make eye contact for seconds and then look at their ear or head.
To listen, or pretend I'm listening.
If they ask me questions, I look directly at their face. Then answer, looking in their eyes.
Then I look away. And wait for an answer or another question.
Look away, when they do. Look at them when they look at me.

This seems to be 100% normal and polite. It's a cultural thing. It's a good sign coming from the interviewer. Be happy. The third interview must have been intense, but you were one of the finalists. Nobody would bring you in for a third interview unless they were serious about hiring you. I hope you get the job.
