Finally got the RSV vaccination. No problems, no obvious side effects, and had a good laugh with the pharmacy assistant who asked me my age to make sure I'm old enough to get the shot. I haven't been "carded" in a very long time.

Went to my annual eye doctor appointment early this morning and now waiting for my dilated pupils to return to normal so I can go strip-pick all the garden greens because they will freeze tonight when the temperature drops to 28 degrees.

Right now wading thru final tests/reports/ appointments for their case to be presented to board, be approved, get on transplant registry. About two thirds of the way there. Disappointed with major hospital as several medical reports have fallen thru the cracks already.

F vs C I no longer use F having background in chemistry easy. Actually l would prefer K.

I don't really know why degrees Kelvin don't seem to be the standard temperature measurement anywhere. It would be so simple to keep up with because there are no negative temperatures. Baseline absolute zero is 0 degrees. Of course, I suppose if a temperature lower than absolute zero were to be discovered that could mess the system up a bit 🤔

Your right makes life so much easier, relating C to water is the only reason it is used. 0 Kelvin like speed of light is absolute, so never will be confusion if used, Even if alien visited earth.

Went to dentist implant lose, hurting cannot fix until main dentist comes back colleagues do not do implants.
So soft food until he gets back. Down side to unusual immune system. Soup with no chunks, milk no Christmas leftovers. Maybe end up losing bit of weight.

I cut a piece of 1x1 inch SHT (Square Hollow Tube) to 16 1/8 inches. I used a hacksaw. I was careful but left one side longer. I used a file and worked slowly to even out the cut so it was square, then filed the edge to remove burrs. Then I used a rotary tool with a rubber abrasive tip to smooth the edges further. I painted the edge with gloss black acrylic paint. It looks better now and you cannot see the cut almost, seems like it came that way.

I am working on an idea for an extended front edge for my desk so I can quick-mount something and remove it when I am done. I am trying to keep the gaming controls I have on the desk where they are while adding these new ones. I do not think it will work, I will need to move what is there when I need the new controls but it has been fun trying to solve the problem.

As far as I know we cannot reach absolute zero so maybe there is not a need yet for something different. As I was taught, there is always some matter left in a vacuum and it effects heat storage so absolute zero is not reached but I have heard of a wonderful technique using lasers to strike particles in a way that stops their vibration in one direction, like slowing a person down on a swing. This reduces the energy and lowers the temperature so we get even closer to absolute zero. I wonder if that is where Bose-Einstein condensate would appear. I do not remember how close to zero they need conditions to be.
