Lie to your doctor

Sorry in advance for venting.

My assessment was to be done in 2 appointments. I've done the first part and had scheduled the second appointment for next week, but I just got a message saying they won't finish the assessment because I use medicinal cannabis, which is legal here and which I have a doctor's recommendation for. If I want to continue, I'll have to cease using cannabis as well as alcohol for 30 days.

I prefer to be honest with doctors so that their advice will be as accurate and helpful as possible, but if I had just lied, this problem wouldn't exist. Now I have to decide if it's worth it to me to quit my medicine for a month in order to pursue this.

If the medicinal cannibis is on your doctor's recommend, maybe discuss it with them first? Perhaps a suitable alternative for 30 days? (That won't affect test results?)

All can go back to the way it was after the testing.

Perhaps there's a valid reason for taking cannibis out of the equation for the purpose of testing?
