Let's talk Pirates, Buccaneers and Privateers

Nisk

The Spoiler King
When I was in my 20's one of my interests was pirates. Now my favourite pirate is Jack Rackham I even have his flag tattooed on my arm. How about anyone else was or is anyone interested in pirates and if so who's your favourite?

i was honestly more interested in the ships than the actual pirates. although, as with the rest of my childhood, i forgot much of what i used to know on the topics........ it's probably there still, somewhere.. but who knows where

but semi-related.... i was at an auction recently with a beautiful blunderbuss hand cannon. it went far above what i could spend on it (especially since i can't sell them here) but it was gorgeous. it wasn't one of those new fancy looking replicas, it was a true antique one. simple made, flared out barrel.. i may not have been able to buy it but atleast i got to hold it. the sheer devastating force of them are incredible.
