Latest CDC Report Reflects Autism Rates Unchanged

I find that somewhat surprising. I thought that the introduction of the DMS-5 would cause the cases to go down. It seems like the new criteria makes it harder to be diagnosed.

You still may be right given that the rate has stabilized. I share your perspective. That the DSM-V's conclusions are primarily fiscally based rather than medically based.

So I can't help but be a tad cynical in pondering what federal statisticians may have done to accomplish this alleged result to support administration policy rather than reflect reliable medical data.
