Pixelated Lithiums, by Turboslacker
Awesome album that I stumbled onto on Reddit Vinyl one day. I asked the band to autograph it for me and they did!

The Lonesome Crowded West by Modest Mouse. An awesome album from the late 90s emo / indie scene. Some amazing songs from this are ; Heart cooks brain, trailer trash, polar opposites, bankrupt on selling.

Added for Wednesday
It’s Hard to Find a Friend, by Pedro the Lion. Another 90s emo album, mellow and a work of beauty. There is a song on this album that is probably the saddest song I know. It makes me tear up most times I listen. It’s called secret of the easy yolk. When I was a younger man I thought it was an oddly worded song about a lost lover, as an adult I read the lyrics and listened closely. It’s about losing faith, and that is heart wrenching. So if you feel like getting a little sad, or want a perspective on losing the connection to your God, try out secret of the easy yolk

An awesome album from the late 90s emo / indie scene.

What other emo albums from this general time do you like? I didn't listen to this stuff back then, but have been getting into it more recently. Though, Pinkerton I've loved for ages.

I also have Where Are Your Boys Tonight?, an oral history of these bands, but haven't read it yet.

90s emo and indie stuff

Built to spill: There’s nothing wrong with love, perfect from now on, keep it like a secret. Ultimate alternative wavers, ancient melodies. Built to spill & caustic resin.

Sunny Day Real estate: Diary, how it feels to be something on, and the self titled sunny day real estate.

Jeremy enigk: return of the frog princess

Superdrag: regretfully yours, head trip in every key, señorita ,

Bright eyes: fevers and mirrors, lifted or the story is in the soil-keep your ear to the ground ,

Our Lady Peace: happiness is not a fish you can catch, clumsy, spiritual machines.

Pedro the Lion, it’s hard to find a friend, winners never quit, the only reason I feel secure.

Mazzy star: so tonight that I might see

Modest mouse: lonesome crowded west

Pavement: terror twilight, slanted and enchanted, crooked rain

Mogwai: young team

Quasi: field studies

Sponge : rotting piñata

Ween: (all the 90s ween albums!❤️)

Weezer : the blue album, Pinkerton

Heatmiser: half right (on mic city suns)

Death cab for cutie: you can play these songs with chords, we have the facts and we’re voting yes.

Old indie-punk (angry/ screaming style): boy sets fire:
this crying this screaming this is my voice being born, after the eulogy

I’ll add more after I have coffee

Today’s albums so far
I, by cigarettes after sex
X’s by cigarettes after sex
Lonesome crowded west by modest mouse
fevers and mirrors the companion edition, by bright eyes.

Up next today is;
I’m wide awake it’s morning, bright eyes
With in without, by washed out
