Is it weird that I feel annoyed with people tell me jokes sometimes?

For example when my other friend has issues at her job and I ask what she will do, she makes a joke and says "I will come live with you." I fail to see the humor and I find it annoying she answers a my serious question with a joke that she's told more I believe than once. Do any of feel like getting upset with someone tells you a joke?

That's not what I'd think of as a joke. Just a way to deflect the reality of a bad situation- problems on the job using sarcasm, which doesn't necessarily leave everyone laughing.

After all, sarcasm usually contains an element of contempt and/or ridicule. In this case leaving you as the butt of her joke, which won't make up for her job issues.

My mind often fails to fully understand sarcasm directed at me in real-time, and rather than sense or tell them I am offended, I usually carry on as if nothing was said at all. Which in a matter of seconds seems to throw people off, awkwardly causing them to quickly move onto something else. Once they see a pattern in my lack of response, they stop doing it.

@Amethystgirl Regardless of if someone close to you as Family or friend jokes or is serious you must smile and Trust them.

You must not Trust criminals/theives though. You must hate them, and risk being abused. We hate bad-guys.

When you can hate and when you can excersice control over others you can easily laugh with them. Like Dale Seago AFAIR said: "When you can kill someone, you develop another form of compassion".

Love is Compassion, but i haven't checked this word yet...

But you are a woman and maybe you need a Man whom protects you. That man may or may not but ugly. Primarily we want good Moral men (and Women).

Doesn't stop people from trying anyway. Because humans be human.
