Hello I'm Daniel
I'm 45 & high functioning mild Aspie
Although I am most able in social situations they often bore me & I find that I'm acting / pretending to be someone I'm not just to conform or be accepted
I have no inner monologue so if I'm thinking it ,I will often say it ,and this often causes offence or surprise
I enjoy my own company and can spend hours alone in complete happiness
I'm always thinking in numbers & constantly looking & finding patterns in stuff & feel uneasy when I can't
I'm good at languages but my spelling is rubbish

So hello

Ps .. I'm better in person as I find it easier to read peeps , phone calls can throw me as can texts & is imagine sometimes forum chat too

Welcome :)

I also prefer face to face interactions, but like you, feel it's hard to find people who I can find interesting (at least away from these forums).

Hello and welcome. I can relate to everything you have said. I tap sequences with my hands, feet, objects which really annoy people :) I hate talking on the phone it drains me. I prefer face to face as well.

Hope you enjoy the site :-)
