Introduction

Hello, I am new to this site and am checking it out ... I have aspergers and so does my son who is 17 ... I am trying to figure out how to help him get social interactions as I am beginning the transition into adult hood with him. I have him signed up for school and vocational rehabilitation for work stuff but the social interaction piece is much harder we usually just play on ministry of war and get social interaction s very well but this will not due for adult hood.

For myself, I find it very helpful to have social interaction online, ie. through emailing or a forum. That way I can think about my responses longer and I don't have to worry about eye contact. I have a few people I'm close with, in real life. I got a lot more social once I started to use the internet to find other people (and eventually met up with them). I don't know if this would work in your situation, but maybe it's something to think about.
