Interesting musical numbers.

Joel's Hear

I'm here, at least for now
I can be in the throes of sadness but if I get a musical view number that seems nice, it can change my day completely.

Musical view number?

For example, I watched a live version of Tom Petty's Last Dance With Mary Jane on its 800,000 view. I watched Tan Dun's "Eternal Vow" and got the 150,000 view. T.I. Big Things Poppin' I got the 37,309,000 view.

"Sultans of Swing" I got both 14,000,007 and 140,007,567 on the same day, within an hour, on two different live versions of the song (actually the same version they posted twice).

I like numbers that end in "00" whatever at the end (003, 005, 009) etc the best, but I like numbers also really well that have a combination of 3s, 5s, and 7s.

I take screenshots of all the numbers I like, regularly culling them to make sure they make the final screenshot album cut.

Sorry if this is a bit disjointed. I'll add a few photos for clarity.

I don't know if I have a screenshot, but some time ago I got the 666th view on an R.E.M. demo called "The Devil Rides Backwards" and was greatly amused.

And for real what's anyone going to say about this? A little odd, perhaps, but it gives me some stability. I'm nearing 100 in my collection.

I'm from Georgia originally (as are REM) and I listen to the "Devil Went Down to Georgia" song a bit. Ridiculously catchy fiddle tune.

Numbers are fun to think about for me though I don't go about it in the same way as you. I like to think about ages and which ages are old and not. For example, I think 30 is older than 31 in a sense. 30 is a landmark age while 31 is just 31. I think we as a people attach more of a weight to adult ages that end in 5 or 0 than we do say 1 or 4 for example.

There's a lot of number stuff with football that I used to think about when I was a kid.

Basically, I don't find anything odd about your habit at all. Numbers are fun for me as well.

I just played this one on You Tube because of the "connection" to the other post...
Hit 696,789 with my view.
