I always wonder if I would have been diagnosed if I wasn't being closely monitored for brain damage (after my birth father tried to murder suicide me by force feeding me pills). I did need speech therapy though and couldn't talk properly until I was 7 years old...

I also needed speech therapy when I was in school. I didn’t talk till I was 6 years old. I was diagnosed with an audio processing disorder before I got diagnosed with autism.
