I have a son who is almost 21 who was diagnosed Aspie's at age 16. It has been a very difficult road. I am looking for possible help in getting him to a point of some kind of independence.

Welcome to AC Theresa!
We are more than willing to help you here, we have loads of topics with things that might be useful to you or your son.

My advice: Start a new topic here in this section: Parenting & Autism Discussions | AspiesCentral.com
Or just look around ;)

PS: This could be a great place for your son to learn new stuff about independence, as some of us are living on their own.

Thank You Sander!
I live day by day trying to look at his small accomplishments. Because he was diagnosed so late the he was already set in his ways and harder to gear toward new idea's. There is SO much out there to "READ" and as I have ADD, my attention span is very small. I need the condensed version of how to help.

Hello! There are some useful resources and articles posted around here that may help. I'm sure you'll find something to suit your needs.
