I need help finding the name of this philosopher.

I heard him mentioned in a youtube video, by fitness youtuber Elliot Hulse. I don't remember what video it was. The philosopher he mentioned had his students workout and get in shape, because he knew that a strong body correlates to a strong mind. Any help is much appreciated.
 
Well...I know Thomas Jefferson said this:

"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks."
